Twist (“we,” “us,” or “our”) is an AI-powered dating app currently offered through a private beta. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have when you visit our website, apply for beta access, or use the Twist app.

By using Twist or submitting a beta application, you agree to this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

We collect information in three main ways: when you apply for the beta, when you use the app, and automatically through our systems.

• Beta application data: name, email address, age range, platform preference (iOS/Android), city (optional), and any optional responses about your expectations for AI matching.
• Account and profile data: photos, profile details, preferences, questionnaire answers (including Know You Better responses), and content you create in the app.
• Voice and AI interaction data: audio input, transcripts, chat history with Twist, concierge sessions, and outputs generated by our AI features (matching insights, introductions, message suggestions, and similar tools).
• Usage and device data: app interactions, feature usage, crash logs, device type, operating system, and general diagnostic information.
• Communications: messages you send through Twist and related metadata needed to deliver the service.

We use your information to operate, improve, and secure Twist. This includes:

• Reviewing and responding to beta applications.
• Creating and maintaining your account and profile.
• Powering matching, discovery, compatibility features, introductions, and messaging tools.
• Running voice and AI features, including personalization and safety review.
• Sending beta-related emails and product updates you have agreed to receive.
• Analyzing usage to improve product quality, safety, and performance.
• Detecting abuse, fraud, and violations of our terms.

Twist uses artificial intelligence to provide matchmaking, profile insights, voice interactions, message assistance, and related features. Your content may be processed by automated systems — and, where appropriate, human reviewers — to deliver these features, improve model quality, and maintain safety.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your private messages to train public-facing models for unrelated products without appropriate controls and notice.

We share information only as needed to run Twist:

• Service providers that help us host infrastructure, send email, process payments (if applicable), analyze performance, or support AI processing — under contractual confidentiality and security obligations.
• Other Twist users, according to your settings and product design (for example, profile information shown in Discover or messages you send).
• Authorities or third parties when required by law, to protect rights and safety, or to respond to valid legal requests.
• A successor entity in connection with a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, subject to this policy or equivalent protections.

We retain information for as long as needed to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Beta application data is kept while your application is active and for a reasonable period afterward unless you request deletion.

You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us. Some information may be retained where required by law or for legitimate safety and security purposes.

We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing.

You can opt out of beta marketing emails by using the unsubscribe link in any email or by contacting us. Core service emails related to your account may still be sent.

Twist is for adults only. You must be 18 or older to apply for the beta or use the app. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

If you access Twist from outside the United States, your information may be processed in the United States or other countries where we or our service providers operate. These locations may have different data protection laws than your home country.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date below. Material changes may be communicated by email or in-app notice during the beta.
